Edward L. Lieberman has been engaged in the practice of law since 1978. His education and career path has continuously been focused on the practice of criminal law with an emphasis on successful courtroom advocacy.

Mr. Lieberman was raised in Lake Success and after graduating from Great Neck South High School he attended Marietta College in Ohio. While attending Marietta College Mr. Lieberman was elected to the National History Fraternity and the National Leadership Fraternity.

Mr. Lieberman entered the Hofstra University School of Law where he was selected to an internship at the Nassau County District Attorney's Office. After receiving his Juris Doctor degree, Mr. Lieberman continued his formal legal education at New York University School of Law and received a Master of Laws Degree in Criminal Justice.

While attending NYU Mr. Lieberman was appointed as an Assistant District Attorney in Nassau County. During his tenure as an Assistant District Attorney from 1978-1982 Mr. Lieberman prosecuted and tried multiple misdemeanor and felony level cases. He became a senior trial attorney in the County Court and Special Investigation Bureaus and was also Chief of the Civil Rights Unit.

Having fulfilled his term commitment to the District Attorney's office, Mr. Lieberman brought his advocacy skills and criminal law background to the criminal defense bar.

In September 1982, Edward L. Lieberman joined the Garden City law firm founded by Richard A. Librett and Lloyd M. Friedland. Mr. Lieberman successfully developed his criminal practice during the early years of his association with Mr. Librett and Mr. Friedland and was soon elevated to the position of partner to the firm.

Through the years Mr. Lieberman has represented a large multitude of clients in need of criminal defense. He has tried misdemeanor and serious felony cases involving all classifications of charges and appears regularly in all courts in Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and the five boroughs of the City of New York.

Mr. Lieberman has also developed a specialized criminal practice involving "Driving While Intoxicated" defense and Vehicle and Traffic Law. He has lectured in these areas at the Nassau County Bar Association Academy of Law.
